Dashboard
The Dashboard page is the first page you see when viewing your app in
Play Console. In here you can have an overview of key metrics and insights into your app over varying time periods. Just give this page a quick look to see if there are any poorly performance metrics.
Dashboard is divided into different sections with cards. For each section or card, you can click Explore or View to get quick access to relevant, detailed reports.
The following sections are available in the Dashboard page:
- How are your KPIs: View summaries of key performance indicators, including installs and uninstalls, rating volume and value, and crashes.
- Latest release performance: View a summary of the latest release regarding crashes and rating. Learn more about app's data per release.
- Store listing performance: View your overall store listing performance across metrics, and see how performance differs across dimensions, such as traffic source, country, and search term. Learn more about app's acquisition.
- Android vitals: View data about your app's quality regarding performance and stability. Learn more about app's technical performance.
- Ratings and reviews: Users can rate your app with a star rating out of 5 and leave a written review to give feedback on their experience. Learn more about app's rating and review.
- App size: Smaller apps are faster to download and show a tendency to see higher install success rates.
- Pre-launch report: This section is automatically generated when you publish an app to closed or open testing. It helps to identify issues proactively before your app reaches users.
Statistics
The Statistics page shows details about each metrics within Play Console, thus allowing you to gain deep insight into your app's performance. You are able to:
- Define how a metric is calculated and displayed.
- View metrics over varying time periods such as 7 days, 30 days, 1 year, and the app’s lifetime.
- Plot two metrics and compare them to analyze app performance. For example, you can compare your app's total users (Install audience) and uninstalls (All user loss) to find out the uninstall rate over time.
- Break down statistics based on a range of dimensions such as device, country, and app version.
- Time series: See how your stats change over time and how key events such as app releases or sales impact your stats.
- Growth rate vs. peer group: See how a metric is performing in relation to groups of peer apps from one period to the next.
- Change analysis: See the dimensions that have impacted your stats the most.
- Data table: View detailed data per day.
