Configure the home settings

Configure the home settings

In this article, we provide a step-by-step guide on setting up the multi-home feature and effective ways to manage home screens through editing options in the home list.

1. Multi-home

1.1 About multi-home

Alphonso provides you with a new and outstanding feature, which is Multi-home. This feature allows you to categorize and display content in tabs within the home screen’s space, ensuring a clutter-free experience that instantly engages users. You can:
  1. Present information in an organized and visually appealing format on each page.
  2. Highlight key content by placing important information in prominent tabs.
  3. Arrange pages according to your preferences to create a tailored home screen experience.

1.2 Set up the feature

To access Alphonso, in your BigCommerce backend, navigate to Apps > My Apps > JMango360 Mobile.
To set up the multi-home feature, follow the steps below:

Step 1: In Alphonso, go to Design > Home.

Step 2: In the Home module, simply toggle Multi-home on.

Step 3: To add a new home, enter a new name in the home name field, and then click Add. The newly created home will be displayed in the home list.

2. Home list

In the list of homes you’ve created, you can:
  1. Edit the name of the home screen, change its order in the list, and delete it if needed.
  2. Set scrolling behavior for each home. Please note that this functionality is available to JMango360 Enterprise customers only. If you want to upgrade your subscription, contact our customer success team

2.1 Manage the home screens

You can make changes to the home screens as you prefer.
  1. To edit a home name, navigate to the home box, and enter a new name to replace the existing one.

  1. To reorder the home list, drag the item in the home list and drop it to a different location.

  1. To delete a home screen, click the trash bin icon.

2.2 Set scrolling behavior

In Alphonso, you can set scrolling behavior in each home with a choice between continuous and paging options. This flexibility allows you to tailor the scrolling experience to your preferences or screen design needs.

To set up this feature, simply select Continuous or Paging in each home box. You can set a different scrolling mode for each home screen.
  1. Continous: This option allows you to scroll down the screen as you normally would, with a smooth and uninterrupted flow of content.

  1. Paging: This mode makes the scrolling simulate a page-turning effect. Each block of content is treated like a separate page. This feature is only available in the Enterprise subscription.
Note: The paging behavior is recommended when you want to display visual elements such as static image banners, static image slides, GIFs, and videos. Keep in mind that the best ratio for these visual blocks is 9:16 to make sure that they expand to fill the entire screen.
