How to create coupon code for mobile app users only ?
It's a great idea to reward your app users by offering coupon codes that can be applied on app only. This feature supports you in promoting your app and increasing downloads and user activation.
How to create coupon code for mobile app users only?
Step 1: Log in to JMango360 Back Office, then go to Settings > Ecommerce Settings.
Step 2: Turn on the setting Coupon Code for Mobile App Users.
Step 3: Specify the coupon settings:
- Coupon Code: Enter the code that the customer should enter at checkout.
- Discount Type: Set the discount (percentage or fixed amount) to apply.
- Amount: Set the amount of discount. The currency for the coupon is the currency used in your app.
- From - To: Optionally set the duration in which the coupon is valid.
- Active: Enable or disable the coupon.
Step 4: Click Save Changes to finish.
(*) Please note that mobile coupon codes can be only applied in the shopping cart. Each time the mobile-specific coupon code is applied on app, a correspondingly unique, one-time coupon code with a 24-hour lifetime will be created in the store backend. For Magento and PrestaShop, a correspondingly unique cart price rule will also be created and associated with the coupon code.
If app users apply the coupon code and check out successfully, the corresponding coupon code (and cart price rule if any) will be automatically deleted from the store backend.
If the mobile-specific coupon code is not in use, it will expire after 24 hours. Within the next 24 hours, the corresponding coupon code (and cart price rule if any) will also be automatically deleted from the store backend.
Required app & plugin versions
Mobile-specific coupon code applies to all current app types. This feature requires NO mobile app version. Regarding plugin version, it requires the following plugin version for Magento and PrestaShop app and PWA:
- Magento React Native: 4.1.1 (Magento 1), 1.11.5 (Magento 2)
- Magento PWA: 1.2.1 (Magento 1), 1.6.2 (Magento 2)
- PrestaShop React Native: 1.23.1
- PrestaShop PWA: 1.3.4
