Push messages are great for engaging and re-engaging mobile customers. Our push message feature allows you to send instant and scheduled push messages to your customers with ease.
To send and schedule push messages, please log in to JMango360 Back Office > App Dashboard > Push Messages.
Send instant push messages to devices
You can send real-time push messages to your customers based on devices/device groups. Besides three pre-defined device groups, namely All Devices, iOS Devices, and Android Devices, you can
create custom device groups and send instant push messages to them.
Step 1: In App Dashboard > Push Messages, click New Message > New Message To Devices.
Step 2: Specify the recipients by clicking the
button and selecting the
device group(s) you'd like.
Step 3: Add deep link to a specific product, product catalog, or module in your app. If you want to create a deep link to a product, please copy the product URL on your store and paste it here.
Step 4: Specify message content. The maximum number of allowed characters is
110.
Emojis are accepted.
Step 5: Click Send and confirm by clicking Yes in the pop-up that appears.
Send instant push messages to users/user groups
Sending instant push messages to users/user groups is only available to Magento and PrestaShop native apps.
Owners of Magento and PrestaShop native apps can choose to send instant push messages to users/users groups defined on your web store. Basically the steps to do so are similar to those used to
send instant push messages to devices. There is only one extra step in which you need to log in to your store backend to retrieve the data about users/user groups.

Step 2: You are prompted to log in to your store backend to retrieve the data about users/user groups. Enter your credentials to log in.
Step 3: Specify the recipients by clicking the
button and selecting the users and/or user groups you want.
Step 4: Add deep link to a specific product, product catalog, or module in your app.
Step 5: Specify message content. The maximum number of allowed characters is

Emojis are accepted.
Step 6: Click Send and confirm by clicking Yes in the pop-up that appears.
Schedule push messages to devices
Scheduling push message is only available when the recipients are devices.
JMango360 allows you to schedule push messages for a later date and time. Basically the steps to do so are similar to those used to
send instant push messages to devices. There is only one extra step in which you need to specify the date and time you want the push message to be delivered.
- Select the Schedule Time check box.
- Specify the timezone, date, and time in the pop-up that appears, then click Done.
- If you want to edit the time, click Edit next to the scheduled time to make changes.
Recommendations for push notifications
In general, the aim is to stay on the radar of your customer, keep them informed but don't get annoying. So, how to do this? Make sure that your messages add value to your customers.
Manual push notifications
The objective is to open the app and start a shopping session. Therefore:
- Keep it short and send at the start of your best sales days/hours, so you know for sure your customers have the time to start shopping.
- Make the call to action instant or short-term. You can create some FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) for an extra push.
- Use emojis to keep it fun. Our advice is 1-2 per message.
- Schedule your messages to ensure you won't forget.
- Don't go nuts with the number of messages. On average, we recommend 2-3 messages per month.
If your settings show out-of-stock products in the app, always enable this feature. There's no downside of sending a push message when the product is back in stock. Please note that you can tailor the message as you wish.
Definitely recommended but not for all order statuses. We recommend using this type of push message for the following events:
- Order successfully received
- Order shipped
- Order cancelled / issue
You can customize each message, e.g., "We've received your order <order number>" or "Good news, your order <order number> is shipped. See your email for more information".
