Searchanise integration

In this guide, we will explore the process of integrating Searchanise into your ecommerce app.

Note: The integration will take effect immediately after being set up in Alphonso without any additional steps from JMango360.

1. About Searchanise

Searchanise is a product filter and search solution. By connecting Searchanise with your app, you can align the search and filter functionality of your website with your app. 

2. Scope of the connection

The scope of the connection is defined as follows:
  1. Show Searchanise relevant search results by using the search bar.
  2. Show Searchanise product suggestions, product categories, and product images by using the search bar.
  3. Show Searchanise filter and sort options in search results and on the product list 
  4. Provide insightful analytics on the search functionality within the app in the Searchanise Analytics section. 
Note: The following features are out of scope:
  1. Auto spell correction in the search bar. 
  2. Show a product custom field value in the instant search widget or search results widget (widgets)
  3. Display related items in case there is no result matching the entered keywords.
  4. Promote specific items or groups of items for search queries.

3. Steps to enable the integration

To connect Searchanise with your app, you must provide the API key, see the instructions below. 


Step 1: Find Searchanise API Key
  1. In your BigCommerce backend, navigate to Apps > Searchanise. 
  2. In the Searchanise dashboard, you’ll find the API Key under Search Engines. Copy it to your clipboard.


Step 2: Provide the API Key in Alphonso
  1. In Alphonso, navigate to Integrations, and then click Searchanise. 
  2. Paste your API Key into the field. Finally, click Connect.
