Store locator integration

Store locator integration

1. About store locator

The Store locator integration enables your users to easily find nearby stores through the mobile app. By connecting the Store Locator to your app, you can:
  1. Provide a comprehensive information of each store.
  2. Simplify the process of locating the nearby physical stores.
  3. Drive increased foot traffic and potential sales to your retail locations.

2. Scope of the connection

The scope of the integration is defined as below:
  1. Arrange stores based on their proximity to the searched location.
  2. Allow users to search for locations by address, city, or ZIP code to see the distance between the searched location and the stores.
  3. Display store information, including store image, name, address, contact information, opening hours, and descriptions.
  4. Enable users to call, email, or visit the store website directly from the app.
  5. Allow users to get directions to the store.

3. Steps to enable the integration

Notes:
  1. Ensure that you enable billing for your Google Cloud project. Our support team will assist you in configuring the necessary API key and setting up any required API restrictions.
  2. If you want bulk store location imports, feel free to contact our support team. Download the CSV template with required store_name and store_address fields.

3.1 Connect the integration to your app.

Step 1: Connect the integration to your app.
  1. In Alphonso, go to Integrations, and select Store Locator.
  2. Click Connect.

3.2 Create and design the store locator page

Step 2: Create the store locator page in the Custom pages section.
  1. Go to Design > Custom Pages.
  2. To create a new page, click the plus icon.
  3. In the page type field, select Store Locator. Remember to enter the page name.

Step 3: Design and configure the store locator page.

Design the store location block

  1. In the created Store Locator page, drag and drop the Store location block into the preview pane per store you want to show.
  2. To design the block, hover over it and click Design.
  3. You can make the following changes:
    1. Store name (required): Enter the store name.
    2. Store address (required): Type the address of the store.

    1. Store image (optional): A map image with a fixed ratio of 3:2 is auto-filled when you choose an address, but you can also upload a new image with the flexibility to adjust its height. Show or hide the image on your mobile app using the toggle.

    1. Contact information (optional): Add phone number, email address, and website URL.
    2. Opening hours (optional): Provide the store opening hours for each day of the week.
    3. Description (optional): Add an informative overview of the store.
Configure the page settings
  1. Edit the screen name if you want.
  2. Toggle the Show location search bar setting. If the bar is displayed, define its hint text and background color.

Step 4: Click Save draft in the bottom right corner to save your design on the page.

3.3 Make the page accessible

Step 5: Link the store locator page to an in-app destination.
  1. The Store Locator can be added to a button in the bottom tab or a block on a page such as Home, My Account, and Categories.
  2. In the design settings of the button/ block, under Where should this lead your customers?, select Page > Store Locator (or the name you’ve given to the page).

Step 6: To finish, click Save draft in the bottom right corner again to save your changes.
Please note that saving a draft affects only the design page, allowing you to make further changes. To make the current design available to all mobile users, click Publish to Mobile.
