Get a PrestaShop webservice key
Enable PrestaShop's webservice
The webservice key provides a way to authorize users to access the webservice of PrestaShop. First you need to activate the webservice.
Step 1: Log in to PrestaShop Back Office.
Step 2: Navigate to the side menu > Advanced Parameters > Webservice.
Step 3: In the Configuration section, click YES to enable the webservice.
Step 4: Click Save.
Add a new webservice key
Now that you've done enabling the webservice, follow the steps below to add a new webservice key.
Step 1: In the Webservice page, click the Add new webservice key button at the top right of the screen.
Step 2: Specify parameters for the key.
- Key: A unique key which must be 32 characters long. You can either create your own, or choose to use a generated one, for instance by clicking the Generate button or by using any online key generator.
- Key description: A reminder of who that key is for, and what it gives access to. This description is not public, but make sure to put all the keywords connected with the user so that you can find their key more quickly.
- Status: You can disable a key anytime. Please make the key active so that your JMango360 app can work properly.
- Permissions: Assign permissions for each resource that you want to make available to a certain key. Please grant JMango360 read and write access to ALL resources.
Step 3: Click Save.
