Add and edit fields in Address Form

Depending on your business, you might want to customize the address form on your store and want all the customization to be applied to app. Here is how:

When you made changes to the built-in fields

By default, your store has ten built-in address fields. These fields can be changed to display a different label, show default or example text, have their order rearranged, etc. If you want your customization to these fields on store to be applied to app, you need to log in to JMango360 Back Office and make the same customization here. Note that if the settings in the two systems are different, the fields on app won't work properly.

Step 1: Log in to BigCommerce Control Panel. From the side menu, click Advanced Settings > Account Signup Form > Address Fields. Find the field that you made changes and click its three-dot button > Edit.

Step 2: Log in to JMango360 Back Office, then open your BigCommerce app. From the navigation bar, click Settings > Customer Settings > Address Form. Find the field corresponding to the one you selected in BigCommerce Control Panel, then click the pencil button on its right side.

Step 3: Two pop-up windows appear in the two systems. Copy the settings in BigCommerce Control Panel and paste them in to JMango360 Back Office. Make sure the settings in the two systems are exactly the same.

Step 4: In JMango360 Back Office, click Done to close the pop-up window, then click Save Changes at the top right of the screen to confirm the change.

When you already created a custom text field or pick list

You might create a custom text field or pick list for the address form on your store. Do the following to have the same custom text field or pick list on app:

Step 1: In BigCommerce Control Panel, click Advanced Settings > Account Signup Form > Address Fields. Find the custom text field or pick list and click its three-dot button > Edit.
Step 2: In JMango360 Back Office > BigCommerce app > Settings > Customer Settings > Address Form Create a New Field... > Text Field or Pick List.

Step 3: Copy the settings in BigCommerce Control Panel and paste them in to JMango360 Back Office. Make sure the settings in the two systems are exactly the same.

Step 4: In JMango360 Back Office, click Done to close the pop-up window, then click Save Changes at the top right of the screen to confirm the change.
            Note:
            1. Display Name: Specify the name of the field that is displayed on app. The display name can be the same or different from the Field Name.
            2. Required: This can also be specified in the field list.
            3. Included in Signup Form: Specify whether the field appears in the signup form or not. This can also be specified in the field list.
            4. Field Size: This is inapplicable to apps.

When you want to create a new custom text field or pick list

The steps are much the same as in the above section. Basically, you have to create a new text field/pick list in the two systems and make sure the settings in the two systems are exactly the same.

Step 1: In BigCommerce Control Panel, click Advanced Settings > Account Signup Form > Address Fields Create a New Field... > Text Field or Pick List.

Step 2: In JMango360 Back Office > BigCommerce app > Settings > Customer Settings > Address Form Create a New Field... > Text Field or Pick List.
Step 3: Configure the settings and make sure the settings in the two systems are exactly the same.
Step 4: In BigCommerce Control Panel, click Save to confirm the change. In JMango360 Back Office, click Done to close the pop-up window, then click Save Changes at the top right of the screen to confirm the change.

            Edit fields

Take note of the following when you edit a field:
            1. For built-in fields, you cannot change the Field Name in JMango360 Back Office but can do so in BigCommerce Control Panel. That's because what you change in BigCommerce Control Panel is actually the name that shows on your store (equivalent to Display Name on app). Field Name for built-in fields, however, are fixed in your store's database.
            2. For custom fields, always make sure the Field Name of a field is the same in both systems.
            3. While you can change the Required state for three built-in fields, namely Company Name, Phone Number, and Address Line 2, you cannot do the same to other seven built-in fields because they are required address fields which are necessary for shipping functionality to work.
            4. In both systems, you can drag and drop a field to change its order. The field orders on store and on app do not need to be the same.

            Delete a custom field

While you cannot delete a built-in field, custom fields are deletable. Just click the recycle button on the right of a custom field > Delete to delete that field.
