BigCommerce account signup form and address form

BigCommerce account signup form and address form

Settings available in JMango360 Back Office > Settings > Customer Settings.
  1. Account signup form: Native App version 2.61.0
  2. Address form: Native App version 2.57.3
  3. Make sure the settings in BigCommerce Control Panel and JMango360 Back Office are exactly the same, otherwise the forms in app won't work properly

Depending on your business, you may want to customize the account signup form and address form your customers need to fill in. If you want your customization to these forms on store to be applied to app, you need to log in to JMango360 Back Office and make the same customization here. If the settings in the two systems are different, the fields on app won't work properly.

Customize built-in fields

By default, your store has four built-in account signup fields and ten built-in address fields. These fields can be changed to display a different label, show default or example text, have their order rearranged, etc.

In JMango360 Back Office, open your BigCommerce app and navigate to Settings > Customer Settings > Account Signup Form or Address Form. Find the built-in field that needs customizing and click the pencil button on its right side.

Account Signup Form

Address Form

Copy the settings from BigCommerce Control Panel and paste them to JMango360 Back Office. Find the settings here: BigCommerce Control Panel > Advanced Settings > Account Signup Form > Account Signup Fields or Address Fields.

While customizing built-in fields, take note of the following:
  1. You cannot change the Field Name in JMango360 Back Office but can do so in BigCommerce Control Panel. That's because what you change in BigCommerce Control Panel is actually the name that shows on your store (equivalent to Display Name on app). Field Name for built-in fields, however, are fixed in your store's database.
  2. In both systems, you can drag and drop a field to change its order. The field orders on store and on app do not need to be the same.

Add new custom fields or update existing custom fields

JMango360 allows adding and editing the following custom fields:
  1. Account signup fields: text field, pick list, date
  2. Address fields: text field, pick list

You may want to create custom fields for the account signup form or address form on your store. To have the same custom fields on app, in JMango360 Back Office, open your BigCommerce app > Settings > Customer Settings > Account Signup Form or Address Form Create a New Field.

Now you can choose a field type and copy the settings from BigCommerce Control Panel to paste them to JMango360 Back Office. Find the settings here: BigCommerce Control Panel > Advanced Settings > Account Signup Form > Account Signup Fields or Address Fields.

If you want to add a new custom field, the steps are much the same as the above. Basically, you will add a new field in the two systems and make sure the settings in the two systems are exactly the same.

Take note of the following:
  1. Field Name: Always make sure the Field Name of a custom field is the same in both systems.
  2. Display Name: The display name can be the same or different from the Field Name.
  3. Default Value: Regarding date fields, the date must be in the format mm/dd/yyyy.

Delete a custom field

While you cannot delete built-in fields, custom fields are deletable. Just click the recycle button on the right of a custom field > Delete to delete that field.
