Select default sort order for products

Product sorting determines the order in which products are displayed on category pages and search results. You can specify the default sort order which is just the default layout without any input from your customers. On mobile app your customers can still change the sort order to their preferred view.



There are eight sort types to choose from:
  1. Featured Items
  2. Relevance (available for search only)
  3. Newest Items
  4. Best Selling
  5. Name: A to Z
  6. Name: Z to A
  7. By Review
  8. Price: Low to High
  9. Price: High to Low

Select product filtering options

Product filtering allows your customers to refine product searches based on multiple attributes such as price, color, size, and reviews. You are allowed to build filters inside your app based on product attributes got from BigCommerce. No filter options are added by default.


Multi-select filter is available to BigCommerce React Native apps from version 3.2.0. With this feature, customers will be able to filter the products by choosing multiple options of the same filter. 

Add product to cart from product list

An Add To Cart button in the product list makes things fast and convenient for customers as it helps shorten the purchase loop. You should make use of this button when your products have no or little product details, or when you are sure that your customers know what they are going to buy without going through the product details.

Please note that this setting applies to simple products only because configurable products require customers to go through product details to specify options to purchase.

Display all subcategory products in parent/top category

You may notice that if you have multiple level categories in your app, subcategory products are not shown in parent or top category by default. That may be in issue for some, so we offer a setting to display all subcategory products in parent/top category. Just turn the setting on.


Display customized text for all products

  3. Default value: Disabled


Depending on your business model, you might want to display a customized text field for all of your products on app. It could be a special instruction, VAT or shipping rule, or any other type of input you can think of. 

After enable the customized text field, you are allowed to enter text in maximum 50 characters and choose the text color using a color picker. Customized text will be displayed in product list and product details. In product list, customized text will be truncated if it exceeds two lines.
