BigCommerce PWA checkout: standard and web checkout

BigCommerce PWA checkout: standard and web checkout

Settings available in JMango360 Back Office > Settings > Checkout Settings.

A good checkout process is a super important element of the m-commerce experience. With that in mind, JMango360 makes the checkout process as simple and fast for your customers as possible with our two checkout methods: standard checkout and web checkout.

Standard checkout

Standard checkout is a fast built-in checkout flow coming with native payment solutions. In standard checkout, your customers will be asked to complete four steps in which they need to provide their billing address, shipping address, shipping method, and payment method.

All available shipping and payment methods in your website will be imported to your PWA. However, as some payment methods are not compatible with the PWA, you should try out and exclude any methods that fail to work properly or that you do not want.

The Order Review screen provides a comprehensive overview of an order and other relevant information. Regarding this screen, you can enable  the two following which are disabled by default:
  1. Terms and conditions: Require your customers to agree to the terms and conditions before going ahead. You can link to your terms and conditions page or type in the terms and conditions.

  1. Order comments: Allow your customers to add comments, instructions, or special notes for the order before hitting the Place Order button.

Web checkout

Depending on your business needs, you may install some extensions to customize the checkout process in your website. In that case, you should enable web checkout for your customers to complete their purchases. Web checkout is web-based and more flexible than standard checkout.

Check out as guest

Whether your PWA uses standard checkout or web checkout, you can offer your customers the ability to check out as guest. With guest checkout, your customers can make a purchase without logging in to an account or saving any information in your database (such as username, password, shipping/billing address). The customer's information is applied to one order only and is not stored for further reuse.

Guest checkout is enabled by default. Please note that guest checkout will be automatically disabled if you turn on the setting to hide prices until login in Sale settings because when you turn on this setting your customers need to log in to see prices and check out.
